Repeated jumping off heights puts significant stress on your dog's joints, especially for breeds prone to conditions like hip dysplasia, arthritis or Intervertebral disc disease (IVDD). Over time, this constant strain can lead to painful injuries or even accelerate the progression of joint diseases, making movement more difficult and painful for your fur-baby.

IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease) is a condition in dogs where the discs between the vertebrae in the spine either bulge or slip, pressing on the spinal cord or nerves. This can cause pain, weakness, lameness, or even paralysis, especially in the back or legs.
Dachshunds: This breed is the most well-known for IVDD due to their long backs and short legs.
Cocker Spaniels: Cocker Spaniels are also highly susceptible, especially as they age.
French Bulldogs: Their compact, muscular build can place strain on the spine.
Shih Tzus: Another breed with a long back, making them prone to disc problems.
Pekingese: Similar to Shih Tzus, Pekingese are prone to spinal issues as they get older.
Beagles: Although a bit more compact, Beagles can still develop IVDD, particularly in senior dogs.
Basset Hounds: With their low-riding bodies, Basset Hounds are also at higher risk.
Chihuahuas: Their small size combined with long backs puts them at risk, especially with aging.
Pugs: Pugs are another small breed that can experience disc degeneration as they age.
Jack Russell Terriers: Though more active, Jack Russells are still at risk due to their body structure.
